Hi guys,

I am just looking through the unregistered vehicles permits in Victoria but it isn't very explicit in what it can and cannot be used for.

So the permit would be for preparing the vehicle for registration in Victoria:

have repairs done (provided the vehicle is safe to use on the road)
get a Certificate of Roadworthiness (RWC)
get a Vehicle Identity Validation certificate
get a Vehicle Assessment Signatory Scheme (VASS) Approval Certificate
take the vehicle to VicRoads for registration*

Are there time limitations? For example, since it is used to take it to workshops, does this mean that it cannot be driven outside work hours?
Does it have to be the "shortest route possible"?
And are there limits to how many of these you can get? They aren't overly expensive to be honest.

My interest would be to essentially have a car for track. So being able to drive to/from the track, plus getting a UVP here and there to drive on the streets periodically instead of getting into the hassle of registering it.
